Seafront Local Action Team

The Seafront Local Action Team (SLAT) was formed several years back to focus on the area of Brighton seafront between Palace and West Piers. At the first meeting of 2009, it was agreed that the LAT should extend its remit to all of the Brighton and Hove seafront between Hove Lagoon and Saltdean.

SLAT meets at least quarterly, with more frequent meetings during the peak season and is facilitiated by Viki Miller – BHCC Seafront Manager. Meetings are attended by Sussex Police, seafront traders and council officers.

Although historicaly attended by seafront traders and service providers, meetings are open to any group which has a 'seafront interest', or is directly involved in or affected by seafront activities. We would particularly like to work closely with other Local Action teams or community or residents groups which include parts of the seafront within their area of interest.
