The Safer Communities Team has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM) by the Restorative Justice Council.

Restorative practice is a way of bringing people involved in conflict into direct or indirect communication to repair the harm caused by the conflict and to collectively find a way forward. Restorative practice seeks to help people understand the impact of their behaviour and make amends for it.

Following the incident in Sri Lanka, the city’s One Voice Partnership strongly condemns this act of violence on innocent people.

The targeting of churches during Easter Sunday services and hotels in Sri Lanka has deeply shocked and saddened us all. We send our deepest sympathies to the families of those who have lost their loved ones, those who have been injured, and all affected communities. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

Vigils in the city

Vigils

A number of vigils are being planned in the city to remember those who have been killed or injured in the attack in the two mosques, in Stanwell and in Utrecht. It is also an opportunity to remember all those killed or injured elsewhere in the world in similar violence.

Everyone is invited and welcome to join the vigils.
