Sussex Police at Hove Town Hall

Tue, 05/02/2013 – 10:55amSafe in the city

On 14 February the Hove Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) will move into Hove Town Hall to work even more closely with colleagues from Brighton & Hove City Council. Hove’s front counter service will also be located at the Town Hall where members of the public can report incidents and stolen property and get crime prevention advice. This move will relocate all the services that are currently based in Hove Police Station in Holland Road.

For most people who want to come in and talk to someone face-to-face rather than use the phone or our website, Hove Town Hall is more conveniently located. It also means that council and police services will be available in the same place so you only need to make one trip.

This move is part of Sussex Police’s programme of change to modernise the force and improve our service to the public, whilst making the savings we need to as our overall budget is reduced. Our aim is to make sure our policing teams are out working in the community and not stuck behind desks in police stations – this move is one instance of this principle in action.

You will be able to come and talk to us in Hove Town Hall from Monday to Friday between 8.45am and 5.00pm. Our front counter service in John Street, Brighton will continue to be open from 8am to midnight, seven days a week.

If it’s not an emergency, you can reach us by dialling 01273 470101 or 101.
