FREE Conference - Lunch included:
We invite people with learning disabilities and professionals working in this area to join the conference "It's not on!"- Stop Hate Crime towards people with Learning Disabilities at Hove Town Hall on Tuesday, 26th November 2013, 10am-3pm.
The campaign and conference, which is run collaboratively by learning disability and non-learning disability organisations in Brighton & Hove, attempts to bring as many organisations and individuals with learning disabilities as possible together to raise awareness of one issue that can have a devastating effect on people with learning disabilities living in our city.
What is Learning Disability Hate Crime?
Learning Disability Hate Crime is when a person is picked on because of their disability.
Hate crime can be frightening.
It can make you scared to do things.
A lot of the time people are not reporting when a Learning Disability Hate Crime happens.
It is important to report Learning Disability Hate Crime so the police know it has happened.
People need to know that they can do something about it.
Join the conference to learn more about what you can do to stop hate crime towards people with learning disabilities.
