West Hove Forum (formerly PRCF)
The West Hove neighbourhood is considered by this Forum to be the area bounded to the north by the railway line, to the east by Goldstone Villas (then south to Clarendon Villas and west to Sackville Road), then south to Kingsway and west to Boundary Road as far north as the railway line.
This includes the Clarendon & Ellen estate, in the west area of Goldsmid political ward, and the whole of the areas of both Wish and Westbourne political wards.
WHF (formerly Portland Rd and Clarendon Forum) meetings are attended by ward councillors from all of the wards within the area (Goldsmid, Wish and Westbourne) police, council officers and a wide range of community representatives. If you represent a group in the area and would like to attend future meetings, or have any other questions about the Forum please contact the Chair of the group; Rachelle Howard by email at [email protected]
Current local policing priorities agreed by the Forum are:
-
Illegal parking near Portland Rd. zebra-crossings. Community witnesses to note registration numbers and feedback to PCSOs
-
Awareness and prevention of burglaries locally. Crackdown/publicity campaign in central Hove may encourage spread of incidents to neighbourhood. Residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour
-
Continue to target Clarendon Rd. audio-shop using public street areas for business and affecting pedestrian safe-crossing at the junction with Goldstone Villas.
The next meeting of this group will be their first Annual General Meeting. This will take place at the Honeycroft Centre on Wednesday May 23rd – 6-8pm
